Play and say day could help improve Petersfield playgrounds

Tue 20th Jul 2010, 10:09

Children are being asked to have a play and then have their say as Petersfield Town Council looks to improve its play equipment.

An exciting day is being planned at The Avenue Playing Fields and Pavilion on July 28 2010 where 14 play equipment companies will be exhibiting examples of their work for residents to view and try out.

Petersfield Town Council wants residents' input on what play equipment they like and also what sites they think should be given priority for upgrading.

Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite pieces of equipment and also prioritise which sites need upgrading - there is also a family ticket for a day at Thorpe Park to be won!

The newest electronic games, swings outdoor gym equipment and musical play will be available and everyone is welcome.

The day begins at 10am and residents are urged to have some fun and have a say in what play equipment they want.

Refreshments will be available with catering by the Festival for Young People.
